GO BIG, little rhody!
On Nov. 4, Environment Rhode Island joined activists, experts and a raft of elected officials, including Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, Rep. Jim Langevin and Providence Mayor David Cicilline, to launch “GO BIG, Little Rhody,” our new campaign to reduce global warming pollution in the Ocean State 80 percent by 2050.
The kick-off event drew nearly 1,000 people to the Roger Williams Park Zoo. Attendees enjoyed a free day at the zoo with events and speeches as they rallied in support of action to cut global warming pollution.
With global warming already beginning to impact Rhode Island’s beaches and the Bay, the Ocean State needs a response that’s scope is in line with the size of the problem. That’s why Environment Rhode Island is saying, let’s go big, Little Rhody.

Rep. Jim Langevin joined Environment Rhode Island at a rally to call for reductions in global warming pollution.
