With Rhode Island’s political composition and a supportive general public, the “Ocean State” has the opportunity to become a national leader on environmental policy. Therefore Environment Rhode Island’s program and strategies are based around winning concrete reforms that will make a real difference for Rhode Island’s environment and have the potential to set a national precedent. More.

Environmental Campaign Staff
The Campaign to Save the Environment, a project of the Fund for Public Interest Research, is hiring college students, recent graduates, and activists across the state to build citizen support for Environment Rhode Island, working to fight global warming, promote clean energy, and protect our last wild places.  Campaign staff go out into communities to talk with citizens about the issues, raise money, and build membership for Environment Rhode Island.  Staff also have the opportunity to work with the media, build coalitions, and mobilize activists.  Similar positions are available in 50 cities across the country, so for more information or to apply, visit www.jobsthatmatter.org.
