Background:Matt is an Advocate for Environment Rhode Island. Before joining the state PIRGs in August of 2003, Matt worked as a campaign director for the Fund for Public Interest Research in Portland, Maine and Seattle. In 2004 Matt led RIPIRG’s successful campaign to bring the California Clean Cars Standard to Rhode Island. As an Advocate, Matt is responsible for Environment Rhode Islands's Energy, Clean Air, and Legislative programs whose aims are to promote social change and the public interest at the federal, state and municipal levels. Matt graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. |
